I graduated with a degree in 1990 with a degree in Studio Art. I was 24 when I began my degree in 1987, so not a traditional age student. I spent the first two years completing all my required courses so that I could immerse myself in my studio art major. I absolutely loved my time at Queens, and have such fond memories of professors and friendships. It was a beautiful, supportive, and encouraging community. My three core professors were Rick Crown, Robert Porter and Jayne Johnson. Their love of art and teaching was so apparent, and their enthusiasm for our ideas was infectious. There was always an open door to share ideas. Critique days were always a little tense, but the constructive criticism and expansion of ideas in such a safe environment created beautiful bonds.
