There is Power in the Pause

Pausing is not something most people do on a regular basis and unfortunately, we live in a culture where pausing in the moment is an unfamiliar concept and rarely encouraged. Most people live a  fast paced, achievement oriented and goal focused life. I rather exhausting existence. I know because I find myself there far too often, which is way I advocate so vehemently about the importance of pausing.  Consider yourself the exception, if you slow down on a regular basis to feel the sensations you are experiencing, and the thoughts and emotions you are having in the moment. If you do, congratulations because that is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.  If you don’t, I encourage you to read the following definitions and quotes in hopes that you will be inspired to pause more often. It is good for your health, personal awareness, relationships and the list goes on and on. I also invite you to take a few extra minutes to answer the powerful question below and to do the pause exercise at the bottom of the page. If you enjoy self-discovery, it will be time well spent.
